Client Server Analyst 

Location Deerfield, IL

ISAC has an immediate opening for a Client Server Analyst to join our Deerfield staff as a member of the IT - Application Maintenance Team.  We are looking for a high level web technologist with strong technical skills. 

Duties:

Accomplish application maintenance objectives by supporting existing high level web applications. Improve software performance by investigating problems, develop application corrections and enhancements. Participate in the design and development of client server information systems and leverage Service Oriented Architecture framework and components.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree plus work experience
  • Minimum 5+ years application development experience
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and practices - VB.Net, Visual Basic, C#, ADO.NET, ASP, ASP.NET, IIS, ETL/DTS, Java, JEE, JDBC, EJB, RMI, XML, .NET Web Services, WSDL, Java Web Services, JavaScript, HTML & CSS
  • Experienced in SQL Server [2010 / 2012] Applications Development
  • Experienced in Java Standard and Enterprise editions
  • Experience with Service Oriented Architecture and SOA platforms
  • Able to understand the System Development Life Cycle methodology
  • Understand relational and hierarchical concepts.
  • Understand use of personal computers and LAN concepts
  • Prefer candidates with experience in one or more of the following – dotCMS, LifeRay, SSIS

Necessary Soft Skills:

  • Professional level oral and written communications: active questioning and listening
  • Ability to understand the requirements and break it into smaller modules for further analysis.
  • Strong commitment to team efforts
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze systems, applications and third-party software
  • General understanding of the business organization’s perspective in relationship to specific system development.
  • Able to exercise independent judgment, provide technical leadership, manage personal project assignments and constructively interact with other personnel.

Technical Competencies Preferred (Tools):

  • Experience with Win Forms and ASP.NET Web Forms preferred
  • Experience in developing applications in Microsoft technologies using Visual Studio 2012
  • NET, XML, COM, solid object oriented design and programming and UML preferred
  • Experience using SQL Reporting Services [SSRS]
  • AJAX, Web Services, Window Services, XML, XSLT, JavaScript, Jscript preferred
  • VBScript, ASP, VB 6.0 preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience using Java and WebService IDEs such as Eclipse
  • Experience using at least one J2EE application server: JBOSS, WebLogic, WebSphere, and Wildfly
  • Experience with JIRA Issue Management software
