Claudia Quezada is a true public servant, committing more than 20 years to the children of Chicago and Illinois by working to improve educational outcomes. She currently serves as the Director of Quality School Options at the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). In this role, she develops formal state-wide processes to ensure compliance with a $42M Charter School Program federal grant received for increasing the number of high quality charter schools and sharing of best practices. She is also responsible for establishing a charter school office accountable for creating a state-wide charter strategy and all charter related functions for 143 charter schools in Illinois serving over 150,000 students. Prior to this role, she served as the Director of Operations and Compliance in the Office of Innovation and Incubation where she focused on facilitating services and resources between Chicago Public Schools (CPS) and the Chicago charter school sector. A graduate of DePaul University, Claudia lives in Chicago with her husband and three children.
