Reporting IVG/ING Grant Benefits Used
Spring Term Data Due April 15
Benefit usage data for the Illinois Veteran Grant (IVG) and Illinois National Guard (ING) Grant programs is submitted to ISAC by colleges via the benefit usage functionality of the GAP Access portal, allowing colleges to report students’ enrollment hours and benefit dollar amounts for initial, in-district and out-of-district requests. Although ISAC is not able to reimburse institutions for 2018-19 IVG or ING Grant awards, reporting of benefits used must still take place so that usage can be accurately reflected on students’ accounts.
- The spring-term deadline for submission of 2018-19 IVG and ING Grant benefit usage data is Monday, April 15, 2019.
- User guides are available online for the IVG and ING Grant programs.
- 160-byte file layout specifications for the 2018-19 IVG and ING Grant programs, describing the file layout to be used to send data for each program via File Transfer Protocol (FTP), are available within the Electronic Tools section of the e-Library. A valid GAP Access user ID and password are required in order to submit benefits used files via ISAC’s Secure File Transfer System (transfer.isac.org). Continue to Submit Data for All Current and Prior Terms
In order to ensure that students’ accounts reflect accurate data, colleges should continue to report 2018-19 benefits used for all current and prior terms (including the summer, fall and spring terms for IVG benefits, and the fall and spring terms for ING Grant benefits). Colleges will be notified once 2018-19 ING Grant benefits usage data is being accepted for the summer term.
