An
announcement from the U.S. Department of Education explains that the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) returns to its status as a federally recognized accrediting agency, pending final decision from the Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos. The ACICS is an agency that provides schools with a seal of approval for educational quality and makes schools eligible to participate in federal student aid programs.
