Illinois Special Education Teacher Tuition Waiver (SETTW) Program

Please note: the Illinois Special Education Teacher Tuition Waiver is a program created by an Act of the Illinois General Assembly. Further action by the legislature could make changes to the program that affect the future availability of this benefit.

Although the Illinois SETTW Program priority application consideration date for the 2016-17 academic year was March 1, 2016, ISAC will continue to accept applications until further notice. 2016-17 tuition waivers have been awarded in accordance with ISAC Administrative Rules, with priority consideration given to those complete applications postmarked on or before March 1, 2016. Complete applications postmarked after that date are considered for the Illinois SETTW Program only if available waivers remain after all timely complete applicants have been awarded. We anticipate the application for the 2017-18 Illinois SETTW Program being available at this website in the fall of 2016. The latest information regarding this program, including additional awarding criteria, can be found at the "Illinois Special Education Teacher Tuition Waiver (SETTW) Program" page, located under "Scholarships" in the Types of Financial Aid section.
