Dear Counselors,
Thank you for your continued support of Illinois' One Click College Admit initiative. Below is what your juniors and seniors can expect as AY27 begins.
In past communications, we identified August 27, 2026 as the date the direct admission offers would be going out to current seniors who opted into Once Click College Admit during their junior year. We identified a glitch in the system, causing the notices to be delayed by one week.
Now, on September 3, 2026, current seniors who opted into One Click College Admit last academic year and were matched for direct admission will receive an email from the Common App announcing their admission offers to Illinois public universities and community colleges. On August 20, 2026, students received a congratulatory message from Governor Pritzker, sent via ISAC. You can view your juniors who opted in through your GAP Access portal.View a sample student notification letter via the following link:
Some current seniors who opted in were not matched because their information did not align with school-submitted data or their GPA was not received by the July 1, 2026 deadline. ISAC worked with schools through August 10, 2026 to resolve missing data. Unmatched students will receive an ISAC email on September 3, 2026 explaining that no direct admission offer can be made at this time, along with information about an alternative pathway. View a sample unmatched student message via the following link:
For current seniors who did not opt in, or who opted in but were not matched, direct admission remains available. Students can create or log into their Common App account and enter their GPA. Within a week, they will receive direct admission offers from universities to which they meet the general admission GPA requirement, along with information about their local community college. This process begins September 8, 2026 and continues throughout AY27. View a sample senior notification via the following link:
The AY27 junior opt in portal opened August 14, 2026, and closes May 28, 2027. Please encourage juniors and families to participate. You can also share links to the opt-in video and the One Click College Admit website with students.

Sincerely,
Illinois One Click College Admit Team
