Illinois Teachers Loan Repayment Program
Because the Illinois Teachers Loan Repayment Program application must be submitted within six months of the date of the Notice of Federal Teacher Loan Forgiveness eligibility, we encourage you to complete and submit the 2025 fiscal year (July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025) application as soon as possible, in order to ensure the deadline is not missed.

John R. Justice Student Loan Repayment Program
The originally-published deadline to submit the John R. Justice Student Loan Repayment Program application for the 2023-24 fiscal year (October 1, 2023 – September 30, 2024) was March 15, 2024, and that due date was later extended to March 29, 2024. The application period is closed and applications are no longer being accepted.

- Illinois National Guard (ING) Grant Program Application

You will also find information regarding updated rules (effective July 1, 2020) for veterans who are eligible for Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits and choose to use those benefits during the same term that ING Grant benefits are used.
- Illinois Special Education Teacher Tuition Waiver (SETTW) Program Application
The priority application consideration date for the 2024-25 Illinois SETTW Program was March 1, 2024.
The 2025-26 Illinois SETTW Program application is anticipated to be available in December of 2024.

- Illinois Veteran Grant Program Application
Please be aware that a qualified applicant must notify their college of their eligibility status as soon as possible, but no later than the last scheduled date of classes for the term for which the grant is requested. It is the applicant's responsibility to obtain and submit all required documentation to allow the application to be processed within the required time. We recommend that all applicants carefully review the "Illinois Veteran Grant (IVG) Program" page, located under "Grants" in the Types of Financial Aid section, prior to completing the application.
NOTE: If you are unable to access the online application, you may instead download and print a PDF version and submit the completed application to ISAC. - Minority Teachers of Illinois (MTI) Scholarship Program Application
The priority application consideration date for the 2024-25 MTI Scholarship Program was March 31, 2024. However, applications continue to be accepted at this time.
Complete applications – including the 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) or Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid, if applicable – submitted after the priority application consideration date will be considered for the MTI Scholarship Program only if funding remains after all timely complete applicants have been awarded.
