It is anticipated that 2019-20 Grant Program for Dependents of Police, Fire, or Correctional Officers (PFC) application will be available at this website by the end of May 2019.

Program Funding

The 2019 fiscal year (July 1, 2018-June 30, 2019) appropriation for the Grant Programs of Police/Fire/Correctional Officers is $1,237,400.

The winter/spring term Certification of Enrollment for Payment rosters for the 2018-19 Grant Programs for Dependents of Police, Fire or Correctional Officers (PFC) were emailed to financial aid directors on March 8, 2019. Rosters should be returned as soon as possible, but no later than April 12, 2019. Refer to the PFC Payment Procedures page for additional payment information.

The 2018-19 Grant Program for Dependents of Police, Fire, or Correctional Officers Application is available to print. In order to receive full-year consideration an application must be received on or before October 1 of the academic year for which grant assistance is requested. For spring-term and summer-term consideration, the deadline date is March 1. For summer-term consideration only, applications must be received on or before June 15. Applications received by ISAC after these deadline dates will be processed only for subsequent terms, with June 15 as the final date of acceptance for the summer term.

Effective with the 2018-19 academic year, children of disabled police, fire or correctional officers need not have been born, legally adopted or in the legal custody of the officer before the disability occurred in order to receive a grant. The PFC Eligibility page, within this section, has been updated with 7/1/2018 rule changes.
